Old Home Week again welcomes "Cape Harmony" an A Cappella singing group. (Insert here the info I emailed to you earlier if you can) (Then add the following) "The performance will take place at the Tabernacle, Craigville Conference Center (off Craigville Beach Road, Centerville across from Covell's Beach). All are welcome. Free Admission.

Monday August 8, 2016, 7:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Another Not to Miss Evening at The Centerville Library, Coyle Community Room. Local author Christopher Setterlund will take you on a journey on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket via his travels books, in My Footsteps. He will tell you about popular spots and lesser known hidden gems treasured by locals. Chris is a 12th generation Cape Codder. He has been painting worlds with words since 1996.

Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 7:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Centerville Civic Association Summer meeting will take place at the South Congregational Church. Newly appointed Town Manager, Mark Ells is the speaker and we his friends and neighbor are all eager to hear him. Strawberry Shortcake with Four Seas’ ice cream will be served. This event will also take place at the Centerville Library. This is an opportunity to show support for the Civic Association and our town.

Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - 7:00 P.M.

The Hyannis Sound in Concert, will take place at The Parish Hall of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. All are welcome. Come and enjoy their performance as they continue entertaining the Living Daylights out of New England. This event is sponsored by Chip's House and hosted by Our Lady of Victory Church. The phones start ringing in April to ask if they are returning. “Yes they are and you will not be disappointed.   Free admission.

Old Home Week 3 Miler Road Race

at Covell Beach, Centerville, by 5:45 PM. 6PM Race and Walk starts from Covell Beach, 857 Craigville Beach Road, Centerville, Distance 3 miles, wheel Measured. Runners 6 and under 100 yards, 7-12 1/4 mile, Youth start at 5:35, the rest at 6:00 P.M. Registration $23 19 and over; 6 and under $0.00; 12-18 $5.00 Race followed by awards, hot dogs, and watermelon. Registration forms at the Centerville Public Library, Chips House, 23 Park avenue as well as the the 1856 Country Store

Saturday, August13, 2016 - 9 - 3 PM

The Centerville Historical Museum’s 11th annual yard sale -This event has a history of many wonderful items, a step above the rest, at the Museum 513 Main Street. Come early come late you can't lose. A favorite among visitors and residents. Household goods and kitchen items, tools and hardware, toys, play equipment, books, jewelry, small furniture and a variety of other items will be for sale.

At 10:30 starting at the Museum begins the Walking Tour of Main St., a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a remarkably intact representation of a 19th village center. Join Ralph Tolbert, architect and preservationist as he talks about some of the enterprising peoples and families who built Main Street and its rich architecture. Frequent stops on a flat terrain,90 minutes, 1/2 mil. $4.00 per person.

Also on Saturday at 6:30 PM A Fire Department Demonstration for the Kids and families - Fire truck, Fire Fighters and FOAM.  At 7:00 PM we welcome again the Moonlighters playing the best  in Rock, R&B, Soul, Classics and Blues followed by the traditional BONFIRE.

The Centerville Library’s annual Ice Cream Social for kids and parents alike. This year the comedy magic of Ed Popielarczyk comes to the Library at 5:30 P.M. on this evening. Ed will delight all ages with his amazing and hysterical magic and antics. Four Seas will be providing the ice cream making this another gala event. We are told it is not to be missed
